We have had a fantastic year for apple pressing with our orchard full of apples. We can tell that you’ve had the same as you were bringing your apples in droves! For those who don’t know, we offer an apple pressing service where you bring your own apples from your garden and we press them into you very own apple juice. We are based in Princes Risborough so can offer you a local apple pressing service for Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Apple press in Buckinghamshire

It’s such a great shame to see all those apples go to waste when you have a bumper crop so pressing apples is a great way to make use of your fruit. Our customers have told us their juice has made fantastic presents for family and friends and it’s a great way to get children drinking a healthy drink. We never add any sugar or nasty preservatives to the juice so your drink will be healthy and natural.

As with our own apple juice you can use a variety of apples. Don’t be afraid to juice your cooking apples as we, and many of our customers will testify, the sharpness of the juice makes it a very refreshing drink. Children love it too! It’s always fascinating to see the array of colours the apple blends make.

Our apple juice was mostly from Bramley with some Laxton Superb. 59 bottles – sharp & delicious. Also 11 bottles from our Conference pears. Drovers Hill Farm have also juiced the huge apple crops from Hughenden Manor & Bradenham Manor. 57 apple varieties – so a great range of tastes. Will be on sale at the National Trust shop & restaurant.

2013 was our first year for juicing and we were really impressed with the Drovers Hill Farm service.

We picked and delivered around 3/4 of a mature cooking apple tree – around 100kg of apples and this was turned into 90 x 75cl bottles of glorious juice.

We were pleasantly surprised with the taste – just the right sour tang that makes apple juice interesting.

Let’s hope 2014 is a good year for apples!

We have tried to give our apples away in the past to no avail. We heard of your Apple Pressing service and now have 60 bottles of the most delicious apple juice from two trees.
We are gifting some bottles to our friends and they are asking for more!!
Thank you for all your help.
See you next year. Have a Great 2014

Not sure what apples we had pressed but they are cooking apples from a very old tree in our garden. The juice is delicious and is also very pleasant with sparkling water. Great service so see you next year!!

What a deligthful place to go and have our apples turned into a delicious juice. We had different batches, one with our best Monarch apple, one batch with our different cookers: Monarch, Bramley, Newton Wonder and Jonagold (not really a cooker) one batch with our eaters: James Grieve, Sunset, Laxton Superb, Laxton Fortune, Charles Ross, Jonagold and Lord Lambourne and one batch included all of our apples and some unknown varieties from our neighbour. We had well over 300 bottles which we and our friends enjoy.
    Thank you Nicola and Mark

The apple pressing of the crop of Bramleys was a great success. Planting my Christmas present of a Blenheim in the next few days in anticipation of future years.

Recommended you to many people. Hopefully not so many that we can’t get our apples pressed next year!

Can’t express the joy it gives us to drink the wonderful juice that you have produced from our mixture of 11 apple trees (eating and cooking mixed) from the garden.

Everyone who has sampled it is very impressed and it has made great Christmas Presents.

Hope our supplies last until next summer and look forward to visiting you again with more apples and maybe pears if we can gather enough.

Great service and great apple juice! All our friends are so impressed with our juice and several of them have now even had their own apples pressed by you too. See you next year. Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year!

Fantastic 1st experience of having our own apples juiced. Many of our friends have been envious of the superior foiling finish on the bottle neck.

I think that having a larger label on the bottle would improve its appearance.

    Happy New Year.

2 years ago you pressed all our apples (not sure what exact variety they are but they are cookers) and the juice was delicious. Last year we only had 5 apples on our tree but this year, we again took our apples over to you be juiced and we are thrilled with the quality and taste. Thank you!

First year we have had apples pressed and the feedback has been great. Have completely sold out and everyone who has tried our juice has commented on how great it is. We hope for another bountiful harvest so we can use you again next year. Thanks for the great service!

Ahh what a shame! I had so many apples this year and i’ve only just come across your website. Do you think you could send me a picture of what the label might look like? This looks like such a great idea. How many bottles did you make last season? It must have been thousands!!!

    • Drovers Hill Farm January 23, 2014 at 4:45 pm #

      Hi John

Thanks for getting in touch. We are yet to design the new label for 2014. This will all be finalised nearer the time.

There was a good crop last year but apples can be unpredictable and in 2012 there were hardly any. It wasn’t thousands but here’s hoping for a bumper crop in 2014!
